Backpacking trip with KP (a fantastic adventure pal and all-around great human being)
Here is the resultant beta from the trip.
We started south of map fig. 1 and proceeded north through (and past) map fig. 2

Biggest takeaway is just fill up your bottle when a water source is available. It takes no time. It also means you'll get to eat a warm dinner. Good lesson.
All beta credit to KP. My artistic commentary was entirely verbal. It was, at times, sufficiently colorful.
